Courtney & David: Love in Ravello

January 16, 2024

Located in one of the most picturesque venues in Ravello, Courtney & David stunned us all with their classic, fairytale, Villa Cimbrone Wedding. A wedding that not only celebrated the love between bride and groom, but also the love between the couple and their guests.

Every love story deserves a fairytale setting and Courtney & David found theirs at Villa Cimbrone. A classically Italian venue which not only offers stunning views of the surrounding Amalfi Coast, but also the incredibly beautiful sight of their very own grounds. If anything can make you fall deeper in love with Italy, it’s the architecture.

Preparation for their big day begun at Villa Cimbrone – the location that they fell in love with from the moment they arrived. To quote the couple ‘it just felt right’. Whether it was the view of glistening water or the enchanting gardens that surrounded them. This was a match made in heaven.

The couple were joined by their nearest and dearest at Villa Cimbrone. Courtney’s bridesmaids opted for an array of pink, creams and greens in dedication to the couples favourite colours. Whilst David’s groomsmen kept it classic in black and white.

Courtney & David chose the gardens of Villa Cimbrone as their first look location. A peaceful and intimate moment for the couple to share before they said ‘I do’.

The ceremony took place within the Tea Room of Villa Cimbrone. A stunning location, rich in history and art. The aisle was lined with a series of floral arrangements combining deep reds, magenta, whites and creams. The couple were framed at the alter with florals intertwined through the tea room columns.

Personal touches adorned the wedding with the tributes beginning with Courtney’s bouquet. A dedication to her Grandmother through the wrapping of her pearls on the base was then paired with a necklace including a batman pendant – a testament to this quirky and truly wonderful couple.

Deep shades led each gaze to the couple and the boldness of the florals created the perfect immersion into this stylish ceremony.

As guests made their way to Villa Cimbrone’s ‘Garden of the Four Dancers’, the couple stole some time with each other and with their most loved ones to celebrate their newlywed status.

Whilst the couple and their guests enjoyed the cocktail hour celebrations, we worked alongside the Villa Cimbrone team to create the perfect fairytale dinner. As blue skies turned grey and the coastal winds came in, the Crypt required a quick makeover. With all tables and decor moved further into the heart of The Crypt, each table setting was safe in place.

Courtney & David stole a candlelit moment to admire their dinner setting before being joined by guests. The tables were draped in green velvet and decorated in fresh blooms of reds, pinks, purples and white. Pink candles added height to each table whilst menu scrolls were added for the final touch to create a perfectly, regal and fairytale dinner. The archways of Villa Cimbrone’s Crypt were decorated in florals and finished with beaded chandeliers.

Guests were treated to the best in Italian food and wine. Not a plate returned to the kitchen full, not one glass of wine left untouched. Whilst the sights of Ravello drew each guest in, it was the food, drink and company that sealed their love for Italy.

Each course was complimented with a speech from some of Courtney & David’s nearest and dearest. With the breathtaking views of Italy as their background, the couple’s loved ones spoke of the truly beautiful relationship shared between the bride and groom with no treasured memory, embarrassing moment or funny anecdote left unsaid.

Sentimental tributes continued into the cake cutting with a feature of Courtney’s Grandmother’s glass cake. A tribute that was held dear to both Grandmother and Granddaughter.

The night came to a close in the best way possible. With plenty of love, laughter and dancing in the Garden of Two Fountains at Villa Cimbrone. A romantic first dance, heartwarming Mother and Son dance, choreographed Father and Daughter dance AND the traditional Hora dance made this an unforgettable night. After the celebrations at Villa Cimbrone, Courtney, David and their guests ventured to Bar il San Domigno where they enjoyed the last few nighttime hours.

Whilst modern in style, this wedding was classic in its origin. A day that brought us back to the roots of marriage, where two people, so very clearly in love, promised a lifetime of happiness, devotion and affection to one another.
